    Definitions

    1. Ensure that today’s and tomorrow’s workforce has the skills, competencies and behaviors to succeed in today’s and tomorrow’s workplace.
    2. Workforce Readiness includes the preparation of a qualified workforce through the public schools, vocational and technical colleges, adult education opportunities, remedial employee training, mentoring, job shadowing and continuing professional development. Such efforts mandate collaboration between business/industry, local, state and national government, educators and the local community.
    3. Human Resources Professionals, agencies, and vendors, helping to remove the barriers that prevent otherwise qualified workers from being fully considered for jobs.
